About

A friendly club with great members and the willing to help others in the movement.

The L.M.V.E.M.C Inc was formed in 1996 by sixteen historical enthusiasts from the Lower Murray area.  Since this time the club has grown each year, now boasting a membership of over 180,  spanning from Younghusband through to Meningie. Members have a wide range of vintage stationary gas engines, tractors, vehicles, farm and  business machinery, boats, motorbikes and much much more.

Our club decided to host its own rally in October 2000, attracting just over 100 displays of yesteryear to the region. Now a  bi-annual event, The Lower Murray Heritage Rally sees over 300 displays bought to our beautiful town. The rally is held on the even years in March at the showgrounds in Murray Bridge

The club is based in Murray Bridge and meets on the second Sunday of every month at the our clubrooms, Murray Bridge Show Grounds, Princes hwy, Murray Bridge. A newsletter is published every two months which is available to all full members. The meetings start at 3pm and followed with coffee, supper and a friendly chat. All visitors are welcome at any time.

Our motto is “Restoring Our Local Heritage” and with great passion we strive  and promote the preservation of historical and special machinery so that future generations will see just how life was in the last century. Without this we would not have history. The L.M.V.E.M.C Inc also has the facilities to register vehicles with historical registration. This is a very stringent registration and certain rules and regulations will have to be followed.

THE club attends just over 30 events for the year including engine and car rallies, shows, field days, collections, museums, farm fairs, and plough days just to name a few. All these and more are staged not just in South Australia but all over Australia.
